Delivery Times
Due to Industrial Action by Royal Mail the last posting days for Halloween orders have now passed. Please do NOT order Halloween items now as delivery cannot be guaranteed and we will NOT except any refunds for late delivery of Halloween items. The last posting date for the Tracked 2-3 Day Delivery Service was 2pm on Monday 26th October 2009. The last posting date for the Next Day Delivery Service was 2pm on Tuesday 27th October 2009. If you have ordered Halloween items after these times and dates, which have always been clearly posted on this website, then it is unlikely that you will receive your order in time for Halloween. The Magic Joke Shop accepts no responsibility for orders posted after these dates and suggests you approach Royal Mail for compensation. Your statutory rights are unaffected and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by incidents beyond our control.
All oders are fully tracked and despatched the same working day subject to stock availability. All delivery services are subject to stock availability and orders being received before 2pm Monday to Friday as long as this is a working day. Orders placed after 2pm Monday to Friday and orders placed over Weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched the next working day.
Our website is not real-time compliant so sometimes items may be Out Of Stock! The website is updated every hour so if you are not sure of availability of an item please

If we cannot supply any of your order we will notify you via e-mail. If we can only supply part of your order we will dispatch the product(s) that are available and you will be notified of this when you receive your order. Please note that if a product(s) is Out Of Stock you will be refunded immediately for the missing product(s).
You do have the option of informing us Not To Send your order if an item is Out Of Stock. You can do this by telling us in the Additional Comments Box when you place your order. Please note that as we give you this option when you place your order, we will not refund your order in full once you discover that your order when delivered has products missing and you have been refunded for these at the time of dispatch. Orders cancelled after delivery will be refunded subject to a 50% admin fee.
All UK orders are fully Tracked and have a choice of two Royal Mail Services. These are Tracked 2-3 Day Delivery Service. Or Tracked Next Day Delivery, which is a guaranteed delivery before 1pm the following day. The only exceptions to this is if the goods you have ordered are over 60cm in length. These items are dispatched via Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service and delivery times will be 3-4 working days. All orders outside of the United Kingdom are dispatched using Parcel Force Worldwide Service and delivery is 4-5 working days
If you use our Tracked 2-3 Day Delivery Service the Additional Comments Box can also be used to tell us if you would like to have your order dropped off in a Safe Place if you are going to be out when it is delivered. This can be your shed, porch, garage or with a neighbour or other Safe Place. If you are out when your order is delivered and you have not stated a Safe Place your order will be taken to your local Royal Mail Sorting Office. A card will be left to tell you how to arrange delivery or collection. Please note that the Safe Place option is not available for our Next Day Delivery Service as this requires a signature.

Royal Mail Tracking Service here. All orders outside of the United Kingdom and under 2kg are also dispatched using this service. Orders outside of the United Kingdom that are over 2kg in weight are dispatched using Parcel Force's Worldwide Services and can be Tracked online by visiting

For both Tracking Services you will need your Parcel Reference Number which we will send you upon request. If you are having problems tracing your order please

Please be aware if Royal Mail or Parcel Force has industrial action there will be a backlog of post and delivery can take longer. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by industrial action. Please allow plenty of time for delivery, as we are unable to give you a refund for late delivery of orders delayed by industrial action.
